We are a very friendly, family run hospitable club. If you were to turn up for a game of golf it is not unusual to be invited to play with a member and invited to join in conversations at the bar. There is no 'stuffiness' associated with this club and we are proud of this. This does not mean that service is compromised nor does it mean standards are lowered or golf etiquette not adhered to, it is in actual fact the opposite. It just means that all sections get along, the atmosphere is light and sociable & there is no laborious interview processes to join us.


MENS SECTION

Main Section Captain: Alan Cooper

At present we have a growing men's section with friendly competitions on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Club competitions are every Sunday all year round and some Saturdays during the summer.



SENIORS SECTION

Captain: Brian Blackwood

We have a vibrant senior section with friendly 'roll ups' on Mondays and Wednesday. Official club competitions are every Friday all year round.



JUNIOR SECTION

Captain: Jamie Hughes

We have an active junior section 40+ who have reserved tee times on Saturday mornings from October to May and Tuesday evenings May to September. Junior lessons are £2 on a scheduled day each month from our affiliated professional all year round.

We have a dedicated team of helpers headed by our junior organiser who give up their time to support, help and coach juniors from the age of 8. We also have a junior membership subscription scale in place to make golf for under sixteens affordable for just over a £1 a week. The only proviso we put on junior membership is parents must sign a parent consent form to allow them to attend the golf course unaccompanied and that they must adhere to dress code and golf etiquette. Please note however that Juniors under 16 years of age with a handicap above 28 can only play with an adult.



LADIES SECTION

Captain: Pauline Standerwick

The ladies section is small, but it is a section we are eager to grow. Ladies club competitons are run every Wednesday plus several inter club matches are played with both the mens and senior sections and friendly and competitve matches are played with all other local clubs.
